- Mix the rub ingredients together.
- Apply a thin layer of mustard (as a binder) on the pork roast.
- Apply the but mix on the pork roast.
- Insert the pork roast in the Big Easy wire basket and place in the preheated Big Easy Oil-Less Fryer.
- While the Pork Roast is cooking, create the Pickleback juice by simmering the pickle juice and whiskey in a skillet over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- After 3 hours and 45 minutes the temperature was 192 degrees F. If you prefer a darker bark, put the cover on the Big Easy and continue cooking until it reaches 202 degrees F.
- Remove from the Oil-Less Fryer and allow cook until the basket is safe to handle (10 to 15 minutes) (10 to 15 minutes).
- Remove the pork roast from the wire basket, place on a foil pan and pull the meat.
- Pour the Pickleback juice over the pulled pork and stir.
How long does pulled pork take in an air fryer?
Take the pork shoulder and brush with olive oil you may also spray the pork with olive oil cooking spray and brush.
Rub the pork spice all over the pork. Use your hands to give the pork a nice rub to get the seasoning into the meat.

This has become a mainstay at practically every event and party that I do.
It seems everyone loves it, and I can’t blame them for repeatedly asking it
it’s a beautifully smokey, juicy, delectable pleasure.
The technique is quite easy, honestly.
But to do it well, it’s highly time-consuming.
And if you don’t have a smoker, it makes it more challenging, as you’ll need to rotate the meat often so all sides spend equal time exposing the heat.

This allows the fat to easily soak into the meat…and who doesn’t want extra fat in their meat?
For this recipe you can use my All Purpose Rub, and cover every inch of the pork butt.

That’s your prep work.
Get your smoker running at a cool 225-250, or put your grill up for indirect cooking, and throw on your meat.
Make sure you have loads of wood ready to put on.
You’ll want the smoke to billow non-stop for roughly 5 hours.
I use a blend of hickory and fruit.
If you’re using your grill with indirect cooking, you’ll need to flip the pork butt every hour to ensure all sides cook evenly.
Use this as an opportunity to spritz the pig butt with some apple juice and sprinkle extra rub.
Couldn’t hurt.
The goal is to get the interior temperature up to 200.
That’s the magic number.
When you hit 200, the bone will pull clean every time, guaranteed.
And I’m not gonna liethat’s just cool.
Make sure you let it rest for about an hour before pulling.
This allows some of the juices to be absorbed back into the flesh, and for it to cool sufficiently for you to extract it.
So, around 12 minutes of prep time, 12 hours of cooking time, and you’ll have the very juiciest pulled pork you’ve ever tasted.

How long does it take to cook a Boston butt in a Charbroil Big Easy?
After preheating, cook time is roughly 3 minutes per pound, but it can take several hours for the oil to cool down before you can clean-up and recycle the oil. With The Big Easy, there is no preheat time necessary and it will cool down after cooking in around 15 minutes.

we’re looking at you, tomatoes and citrus fruits. According to Insider, meals with a high acid content can react with foil, and the acids can break down the aluminum. Parchment paper, while not as easy to cut and mold as aluminum foil, is your best bet when air-frying these dishes, since it’s not a reactive material. It’s also less prone to stick to food the way foil may.
Otherwise, foil is a wonderful option to use in the air fryer. You can even get inventive, constructing little trays to produce a golden-brown crust on whatever you’re cooking!
